After careful consideration, We have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership.
And a film like…
Apart from that, the makers also pointed out the commitment issues, like what happened with Vanga’s Spirit. “A film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future works,” makers concluded.
This is not the first time that the actress has faced such claims. Earlier in May 2025, Deepika was surrounded by setbacks with Spirit, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. As per media reports, the new mother had requested an 8-hour workday, which translated to about 6 hours of actual shooting time. She had also reportedly asked for Rs. 20 crore as her fees, along with a share of the film’s profits.
Sandeep didn’t hold back his expression. He indirectly targeted her on his X post, sharing that when he narrates a story to an actor, he places his full faith. He later targeted her for disclosing the issue and had not considered the fact of the NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) between both of them. Vanga even questioned the actress’s feminism and talked about his passion for filmmaking, which he considered the actress would never understand.
Following this, Triptii Dimri was cast as the female lead opposite Prabhas in Spirit. Deepika is not working with Allu Arjun in Atlee’s new film AA22xA6.
