The famous Rapper and actor, Kid Cudi, originally named Scott Mescudi, is expected to appear as a witness to testify at the Sean Diddy Combs sex trafficking Trial this week on his 14-year relationship with Combs’ ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, American Singer and Dancer.
What Happened: Cassie’s Alarming Claims
Mescudi’s brief testimony comes hot on the heels of dramatic revelations from Cassie herself. She testified last week that Combs reacted with huge rage upon discovering her relationship with Cudi in late 2011. Following her testimony, the situation escalated to alarming threats made by Diddy, where he vowed he would blow up Cudi’s car and cause him physical harm. Cassie’s Mother collaborated in her daughter’s defence, where she revealed a chilling email from Cassie detailing threats of explicit video releases, along with a demand for $20,000 from Combs.
The legal battle commences
The ongoing high-profile trial has been gripped by a series of unsettling testimonies where Diddy has pleaded not guilty to charges including sex trafficking and racketeering. His defence attorney has claimed that evidence reveals domestic violence and nothing that would point to trafficking or other alleged charges.
Prosecutors claim that for years and decades, Combs has abused women, threatened and coerced women to participate in sexual encounters called “freak offs,” and used his business empire, along with guns and kidnapping, to conceal his crimes. Gerard Gannon, federal agent, testified recovering ” Freak-off ” supplies, including baby oil and drugs, including cocaine, as well as firearms, including parts of AR-15 rifles with their serial numbers scratched off. George Kaplan, a former executive assistant of Comb’s, had testified earlier that he had set up hotel rooms for Comb’s under the fake name frank white with supplies including baby oil, candles and lubricants.
The trial is expected to last at least eight weeks from now. If convicted, he would face life imprisonment without bail. A jury of 12 New Yorkers, eight men and four women, will decide his fate.
