Rewa, Madhya Pradesh – A disturbing case has emerged from Mauganj in Rewa district, where a Madarsa operator has been arrested for allegedly raping a female teacher after making a false promise of marriage. The accused, identified as Shahid Raza, is currently in police custody.
According to police reports, the incident began in 2022 when the victim, who was working as a teacher at the same Madarsa, was approached by Raza. Over nearly seven months, he reportedly established a personal relationship with her and assured her of marriage. During this time, he allegedly exploited her emotionally and physically, engaging in repeated acts of sexual assault and harassment.
Accused Arrested After Detailed Investigation
The matter came to light after the woman filed a complaint, leading to a Zero FIR at the Civil Lines police station. Following this, Civil Lines police arrested the accused, and the case was later transferred to the Mauganj police station for further investigation.
Police Confirm Action, Evidence Being Compiled
Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh confirmed the arrest and said that the police are currently questioning the accused. The team is actively collecting statements and other material evidence, and the charge sheet is expected to be filed in court soon.
