Long-standing family conflicts, such as a land dispute in Dandeli, Karnataka, are thought to have contributed to the murder, according to investigators. The couple, according to sources, had regular arguments, and months ago, Pallavi went to the HSR Layout police station to lodge a complaint. She allegedly staged a dharna outside the police station after her complaint was dismissed.Police sources also disclosed that Pallavi has been taking medication and is reportedly receiving treatment for schizophrenia.
