Mumbai-based underDOGS Studio, in collaboration with Sony’s India Hero Project, has unveiled “Mukti”, a narrative-driven game that delves into the pressing issue of human trafficking within a culturally rich Indian setting. This game adds on to the growing list of games that bring Indian stories and history to the global gaming stage.
A Little Glimpse
“Mukti” is a first-person adventure game that immerses players in the journey of Arya, a young woman unraveling the mysteries surrounding her grandfather’s disappearance and a museum he once owned. Set in mid-2000s India, the game tackles the grim reality of human trafficking, aiming to raise awareness through its compelling narrative.
Sony’s India Hero Project
“Mukti’s development is a part of Sony Interactive Entertainments incubator program- India Hero Project. This project is aimed at identifying and empowering emerging game developers in India. The program provides resources and mentorship, enabling developers like underDOGS Studio to bring culturally relevant stories to the global audience.
