A Little Glimpse
“Mukti” is a first-person adventure game that immerses players in the journey of Arya, a young woman unraveling the mysteries surrounding her grandfather’s disappearance and a museum he once owned. Set in mid-2000s India, the game tackles the grim reality of human trafficking, aiming to raise awareness through its compelling narrative.

A Growing List
Indian-developed games have made their mark before, such as “Raji: An Ancient Epic”, which brought Sanatan History to life, also mobile games like “Ludo King” have been a great hit. “Mukti” manages to bring another notable aspect through its gameplay. It addresses contemporary social issues through gaming; probably first of its kind. This diversity in themes in Indian gaming reflects an industry that is maturing and brave. It shows that the new generation of gamers are proud of their rich culture and are also not afraid of confronting present-day issues.
Pathway for More
With an intensely engaging gameplay and themes that hold a lot of meaning, “Mukti” will pave the way for a lot more Indian narratives to make their space in the global gaming landscape.
