    Pahalgam Attack a Wound on Nation’s Heart: Modi

    PM Modi laid the foundation stone for ₹13,500 crore worth of development projects, including an LPG bottling plant and a rail unloading facility, while in Bihar for the National Panchayati Raj Day celebration. Additionally, he flagged off four trains, handed out ₹930 crore in benefits to two lakh self-help groups, approved approval letters to 15 lakh new beneficiaries under the PM Awas Yojana-Gramin, and house keys to 1.54 lakh beneficiaries under PAAU-G and PM AY-U. He also inaugurated projects totalling ₹5030 crore, including rail lines and bridges.

    PM Modi,before beginning his speech in Bihar’s Madhubani, urged the gathering to observe one minute of silence as a mark of respect to those who lost their lives in Pahalgam.He described the attack, which killed 26 people, including tourists and locals, as a “wound on the heart of the nation” and emphasised that the country is united in its fight against terrorism. “Terrorists and their supporters must understand: this is a new India. “We strike back,” Modi stated. The Prime Minister also acknowledged the pain of families who lost loved ones in the attack, stating, “India is in sorrow. Some lost a son, others a brother, and some a partner. This grief is felt by 1.4 billion Indians.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi warned the perpetrators and conspirators of the Pahalgam terror attack that they would face punishment beyond their expectations.Expressing strong condemnation,he stated,Today,from the soil of Bihar,I declare to the entire world that India will identify,trace,and punish every terrorist and their supporters.We will pursue them to the ends of the earth.”

    “Terrorism will never break India’s spirit,” Modi added, underscoring the country’s unwavering resolve. Terrorism will not be tolerated. We’ll do everything we can to ensure justice is served.” Additionally, he emphasised the nation’s unity by saying,The entire nation is one in this resolve.” Everyone who has faith in humanity is on our side.PM Modi also expressed his gratitude to all of the nations’ citizens and leaders for supporting us.

    This was the prime minister’s first public statement following the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, south Kashmir, that claimed the lives of 26 people, the majority of whom were tourists.
