Alia Bhatt marked her debut at the Cannes Film Festival this year as the brand ambassador of one of the biggest brands in beauty, L’oréal Paris. She was announced as the global Brand Ambassador in September 2024 and was expected to make a stunning debut at the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival this year.
The critically acclaimed actor was present on 23rd and 24th May at the film festival. On the 23rd, she arrived on the red carpet in a custom version of Italian fashion house, Schiaparelli spring summer 2025 Haute Couture ivory-nude mermaid gown. Heels were made custom by Rene Caovilla, a Venetian brand, and jewellery by India’s fine jewellery house, Birdhichand Ghanshyamdas. On the same evening, she attended ‘Lights On Women’ Awards in Giorgio Armani Prive Summer ‘25 Couture’s bejewelled navy bodycon gown with Chopard jewellery.

On 24th May, the actress was seen on the streets of Cannes with her entourage, wearing a “festival de Cannes” striped baby tee and Gucci wide jeans which she paired with Gucci white pumps and a pink Gucci Marmont bag. Later in the day, for the press interviews, she was seen wearing a custom three-piece butter yellow suit of a pencil skirt, a cropped corset top, and a crop jacket by Gucci. Exuding old Hollywood glam, the look was paired with their popular bamboo 1947 bag, floral headscarf, Gucci detailed sunglasses, and the same white pumps.

For the red carpet appearance at the closing ceremony of the festival, Alia created a historic moment by wearing Gucci’s first-ever saree-inspired ensemble made with Swarovski crystals and the iconic ‘GG’ signature monogram all over the look, paired with a diamond necklace by Malabar Gold and Diamonds. The nude-hue ensemble matched Alia’s skintone perfectly and she looked ethereal with minimal makeup.
All the looks were styled by Rhea Kapoor while makeup and hair were by Puneet Saini and Amit Thakur, respectively.

In a short interview with Brut India, Alia expressed her excitement, stating, “It feels spectacular, it’s the closing ceremony. I am very excited to see, you know, who all the winners are. It’s been such an amazing feat. I think for me, being here with L’Oréal Paris, with them being associated with Cannes for the last 27,28 years, it is quite amazing…”
On the work front, Alia will be seen in ‘Alpha’, which is all set to release on 25th December 2025, and ‘Love and War’ on 20th March 2026 in the theatres near you.
