Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav took centre stage at the MP-RISE 2025 (Regional Industry, Skill and Employment) Conclave in Ratlam, unveiling a bold and inclusive growth model to transform the state’s industrial, employment, and skilling landscape. The conclave focused on regional industrialisation, youth empowerment, and MSME growth.
Addressing a gathering of over thousands of participants, including entrepreneurs, investors, bankers, and youth, CM Yadav outlined his government’s vision for making Madhya Pradesh a leading hub of business and a source of widespread prosperity. The conclave, held with the theme of “Successful Entrepreneurs, Prosperous Industry, Inclusive Growth,” aims to synergise investment, job creation, skill development, and welfare programmes into a cohesive model of growth.
Key Highlights of CM Yadav’s Address and Conclave Outcomes:
- Vision for a Leading Industrial Hub: The Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhoomi-pujan for 18 new industrial units valued at over Rs. 858 crore within Ratlam and its surrounding areas, projects anticipated to generate approximately 3,000 direct employment opportunities. Further demonstrating the state’s investment appeal, letters of intent were issued for new proposals totalling Rs. 2,850 crore, projecting the creation of over 5,450 additional jobs.CM Yadav emphasised his commitment to transforming Madhya Pradesh into a frontrunner in industrial development within India.
- Expanding Industrial Footprint: Bolstering the industrial landscape, CM Yadav oversaw the allocation of land and issuance of intent letters for 27 new industrial ventures, signalling robust investor confidence in the Ratlam-Malwa region. The conclave also marked the Bhoomi-pujan of 16 new industrial areas worth Rs. 243 crore and the inauguration of 11 state industrial clusters, aiming to decentralise and strengthen industrial development across Madhya Pradesh.
- Empowering Youth through Skills and Self-Reliance: A cornerstone of the Chief Minister’s address was the upskilling of the state’s youth. He distributed job offer letters to skilled individuals, facilitated the disbursement of substantial loans, exceeding Rs. 2,419 crore, under various self-employment programs like PM SVANidhi, Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, and Stand-Up India. Over 2 lakh beneficiaries are expected to receive support through diverse government schemes, encompassing self-employment, social security, and skill enhancement.
- Strategic Market Access for Local Products: To amplify the reach of local enterprises, significant Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were inked with industry giants such as Walmart and ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce). Collaborations with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) are set to advance a global-standard skilling model, aligning the workforce with international market demands.
- Nurturing Grassroots Entrepreneurship: Emphasising a bottom-up development approach, CM Yadav also performed Bhoomi-poojan for 5 rural industry units under the State Cluster Development Scheme. These initiatives aim to bridge local resources and traditional craftsmanship with modern industrial infrastructure, thereby fostering employment opportunities at the community level.
- District Decentralised Development: The conclave was virtually connected to other districts like Rewa, Sagar, Alirajpur, Pithampur, and CM Yadav inaugurated District Trade and Industry Centre (DTIC) offices in Niwari, Agar-Malwa, and Raisen shows a strategy to promote district-level decentralised development.
- Fostering a Conducive Business Environment: The Chief Minister underscored his government’s dedication to creating an investor-friendly ecosystem, marked by simplified regulations and transparent administrative processes. He implicitly reinforced the commitment to ‘Ease of Doing Business,’ a recurring theme in the state’s economic policy.
- Vision for a “Viksit Madhya Pradesh”: Throughout his address, CM Yadav reiterated the state’s resolve to contribute to the national goal of a “Viksit Bharat” (Developed India) by transforming Madhya Pradesh into a “Viksit Pradesh” (Developed State) by 2047. This overarching ambition provides the framework for all current development initiatives.
