In his speech, Xi said it marks China’s first complete victory against foreign aggression in modern times. Japan officially surrendered on Sept. 2, 1945, by signing the Instrument of Surrender. China designated Sept. 3 as Victory Day. He mentioned China’s commitment ot peaceful development. “Humanity stands at a crossroads, facing a stark choice: embrace peace, dialogue, and mutually beneficial solutions, or descend into war, confrontation, and zero-sum conflicts,” he said.

The Event projected China’s military modernity and global ambition, positioning the nation as a peace-stabilising force, with readiness to make peace in any nation and to defend its interests as well. Xi offered the world a choice and declared China as “unstoppable”.

Putin and Kim’s participation made a bold statement of the formation of an alternative power bloc challenging the US hierarchy. The sitting and positioning of them close to Xi was said to be a symbol of alignment and trust. Whereas Western nations largely boycotted the divide between liberal democracies and authoritarian states. US President Trump dismissed the parade and event as a “show of conspiracy” and remarked that this adds fuel to tensions.

The Critics and Analysts all around the world illustrated how China seeks to redefine the international order, which itself is instability, and presenting Russia and North Korea as a guarantor of stability is concerning.
