Alia Bhatt’s production house, Eternal Sunshine Pvt. Ltd., marks a major milestone after its upcoming production ‘Difficult Daughters’ is selected as one of the just 30 films, from across the globe, for the 2025 Asian Project market.

The selection of Alia Bhatt’s ‘Difficult Daughters’ for the Asian Project Market 2025 marks a proud moment for Indian Cinema, as only 30 films from across the world are selected for this prestigious platform. A pivotal part of the Busan International Film Festival (or BIFF), the Asian Project Market enables new, promising film projects to meet global producers and partners, fostering international artistic collaboration. Eternal Sunshine Productions took to Instagram to share this cheery update.

The Asian Project Market is one of the most reputable co-production platforms in Asia, held as a part of the Busan International Film Festival, in Busan, South Korea. It helps in connecting local stories with global producers. This platform enables film projects in development to connect to producers, investors, and distributors from all around the world. APM is designed to turn scripts into full-fledged international productions. Over the years, around 17 films from India have been selected for this prestigious event.

This year, as part of APM 2025, four films have been selected from India to be a part of this prestigious event. Eternal Sunshine Productions ‘Difficult Daughters’ will feature along with The Last Of The Plagues – directed by Kunjila Mascillamani and produced by Payal Kapadia, Lanka (The Fire) – directed by Saurav Rai, and Moon – directed by Pradip Kurbah.

Over the years, India has managed to make its mark on multiple international platforms. Indian Cinema has consistently managed to be bold, diverse, and with that, has managed to win hearts globally. As more and more fantastic Indian creators reach the international level, the future looks promising for our indie and commercial cinema alike.
