As an auspicious pilgrimage, the holy town of Puri is all set to welcome the grand Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath (an incarnation of Lord Vishnu), Balram (his brother), and Subhadra (his sister) Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his wishes on his social media platform.
In his tweet, the Prime Minister said, “Rath Yatra greetings to everyone. As we celebrate this sacred occasion, may the divine journey of Lord Jagannath fill our lives with health, happiness, and spiritual enrichment”.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed his best wishes. “Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra is a very sacred Sanatan culture festival, observed with great devotion by crores of devotees across the country,” he said in Odia.
“Best wishes for the Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra to everyone. May everyone experience peace and prosperity during this year’s Rath Yatra festival. Jai Jagannath”.
Smt. Droupadi Murmu, the President of India, tweeted her congratulations and best wishes to all Indians on the occasion of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath’s Rath Yatra. She wrote, “I extend my heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all the countrymen, especially the devotees of Mahaprabhu Sri Jagannath.
She continued, “I offer Lord Shri Jagannath my prayers for everyone’s happiness, peace, and prosperity during this great festival of devotion”.
As she was celebrating her birthday, the President also went to the Lord Jagannath temple in Hauz Khas, Delhi, and offered prayers there.
