The government of Delhi released a COVID-19 advisory on Friday, requesting that hospitals in the nation’s capital make sure that beds, oxygen, medications, and vaccines are available. Delhi’s health minister, Pankaj Singh, informed on Friday that 23 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the city. He also said the government is checking the infection details to see if the patients are city dwellers or have a history of travel. The warning follows a spike in cases in recent weeks in nations like Singapore, Thailand, and China. All health institutions have been asked to send all positive COVID-19 samples for genome sequencing to Lok Nayak Hospital.
“The hospitals need to make sure that there are enough beds, oxygen, antibiotics, other medications, and vaccines available. It said, “Every piece of equipment, including oxygen concentrators, ventilators, Bi-PAP, and PSAs, must be in working order. All parameters must be reported daily on the Delhi State Health Data Management Portal, according to the health department.
India’s COVID-19 cases
There have been reports of mild infections from various regions of India. 257 cases were reported nationwide on Wednesday, according to the Union Health Ministry. Maharashtra reported 56 Covid cases, compared to 66 in Tamil Nadu. Additionally, infections were found in West Bengal, Sikkim, Haryana, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Puducherry, and Karnataka. Veena George, Kerala’s health minister, stated on Friday that 273 COVID-19 cases were reported in the state in May. She stated that Kottayam had the highest number of cases (82), followed by Thrissur (26), Ernakulam (49), Thiruvananthapuram (73), and Pathanamthitta (30).
Four new COVID cases were reported in Haryana on Friday; these cases were reportedly mild, and the affected individuals were placed under medical supervision and kept under home observation. Health Minister Arti Singh Rao said there is no need to panic and that the state government is closely monitoring the situation.
