
Nominations for the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on 15th of July live from the Wolf Theatre in Los Angeles. These announcements were made by Harvey Guillén and Brenda Song online across various platforms, with fan favorite shows and big-name stars dominating the nominations.
Top Nominated Shows
Severance (Apple TV) leads the race with a whooping 27 nominations across various categories, followed by The Penguin, which earned 24 nominations in the limited series category.
The White Lotus (Season 3) continued its streak of Emmy nominations and The Studio became the most-nominated freshman comedy ever. Both shows received 23 nominations.
Acting Highlights
The 2025 Lead Drama Actors had a mix of Emmy veterans and fresh contenders. Pedro Pascal returns to the list with his haunting and layered role in “The Last Of Us”. Sterling K Brown (Paradise) and Gary Oldman (Slow Horses) also returned with strong performances. Adam Scott secured a spot again for his role in Severance. Rounding out the list is Noah Wyle, whose performance in The Pit has made him a fan favorite.

The Lead Comedy Actress category reflects both familiar and fresh faces. Uzo Aduba shines with her performance in “The Residence.” Kristen Bell’s comedic timing and vulnerability in “Nobody Wants This” secured her a spot in this category.
